About the Black Sabath Stonefly

It is a good attractor/point fly. The dropper loop tail is to make it easy and quick to add a "dropper" fly to a two fly setup. An emerger or soft hackle would be a good choice. Add weight as necessary for your conditions (bead head and lead wire). The mono dropper loop should be tied along both sides of the hook shank (3/4 of the way up the shank and butt up against lead wraps) and tied in securely. I add UV resin to add strength. This also aids in building the under body of the abdomen of the fly to give it a broader & flatter (vertically compressed) look of a stonefly nymph.
