Fly Fishing for Trout

These fresh water fish can be found in many lakes and streams around the world, but prefer cool and clean moving water at multiple depths. With many different varieties such as Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout, Brook Trout and Lake trout being the most common names known to anglers. Fisherman have targeted these species for a century and have gone to great lengths to introduce them in North America, South America and Europe, but they can be found in both the north and south hemispheres in preferred cold water conditions.

Trout can be targeted with both insect and baitfish patterns and have a giant following with fly fisherman who target them with light tackle and small insect related patterns. Although they are great table fair, purists in the trout community will give you a piece of their mind if you chose to take them from blue ribbon waters to enjoy at home or a camp site.
