Fly Fishing for Pike

Like their cousins the Muskie, Pike have a toothy grin and a fantastic appetite for other fish in the same water system. Found in North America and Europe they have a strong following by some and disliked by others due to their love of steeling fish off lines and eating their weight in coveted populations of trout and walleye.

Northern Pike like fresh to brackish waters that fluctuate from cold to mild temperatures and can be found in both lakes, rivers and the ocean where fresh and salt waters meet. One better bring bite wire and a strong grip to land these beasts that like to thrash around in your net and boat side. If you fish for these guys you probably have scars on your hands to show and tell a good story about. Northern Pike can grow over 30" and a true trophy will break the 40" mark!
