Rick Roy
I have been fly fishing & fly tying for 45 years. My first rod was bamboo! I also build and sell fly rods (glass, carbon and bamboo; single-hand and switch/spey). I primarily fish for trout and beginning to chase steelhead & salmon in the PNW. I've been in the natural resource/public land management field for over 30 years. I grew up in New Hampshire and Maine but, now call remote Eastern Oregon home. I do not like fishing in crowds. I am a fishery/aquatics biologist by training and profession. I have extensive experience dealing with water quality, aquatic/fishery restoration and management, fish passage, beaver restoration, and wetland management. I also spent about 10 years working on remediation, cleanup restoration of chemical and nuclear weapon facilities. I also own a brewery and pub!
